Negev Region: Thriving Desert Agriculture - Ancient to High-Tech
The Negev region is a proud source of blooming desert agriculture. On this tour we will focus on the similarities between ancient agricultural practices and the developments created in modern times. We will visit a variety of goat cheese farms, boutique vineyards, tour a UNESCO heritage site, and explore the culinary traditions of the Bedouin. Trip Highlights Include:
Pick up from hotel and drive to the Negev region **
Tasting at the leading Goat Cheese and organic farms in the region
Tour and wine tasting at boutique vineyards in the middle of the desert
Lunch at a boutique vineyard with food typical to the region
Visit to Avdat National Park
Visit to ancient Nabataean ruins to learn about Nabataean agricultural technologies
Dinner with a Bedouin family and discussion of Bedouin culinary practices
**Pick up and drop off is from the Tel Aviv area. Additional charge for transportation from other areas. This tour requires a minimum of three participants and is offered upon request.
